In August / September 2006 the choir completed a highly successful ten day tour tour of Slovenia, giving five concerts, three of which were very enjoyable concerts with local choirs in Bohinj, Kranj and Piran.  

In the last twelve years Newport and District Male Voice Choir has undertaken five overseas tours. Firstly to Malta to compete in the International Festival there where it came third, then in 1997 it undertook a concert tour of Hungary singing in several fine churches and cathedrals including the famous St Mathias  in Budapest.

 In 2000  the Choir toured USA and was the first British choir to sing in the prestigious John F Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts in Washington ( the Nation’s premier Concert Hall) . For more infromation about this recital click on
