On Sunday 7th December our choir had the pleasure of participating in the annual Severn Hospice Lights of Love services at St Chad’s church in Shrewsbury.

There were two services, at 1 pm and 3 pm, and altogether over 1,000 people attended to remember loved ones, sing carols, and see the lights switched on on the Severn Hospice Tree of Light. The choir sang three carols at each service – The Boar’s Head Carol, Silent Night, and Rise Up Shepherd And Follow, and both performances were very well received.

Our next concert is our annual Christmas Concert, which will take place at St Nicholas’ Church, Newport, Shropshire on Friday 19th December at 7.30 pm. This is our choir’s last engagement of 2014, and is always a very popular event in our town. Do join us if you can, to sing some carols, listen to the choir, and enjoy seasonal refreshments in the interval.
