Trinity Church, Newport TF10 is our choir’s weekly practice venue, and our concert there on 22 July 2016, was in aid of church funds. It is good to report that the concert was very well supported, and there was hardly a spare seat in the church.

Newport (Salop) & District Male Voice Choir were joined by the Holy Trinity Church choir to provide a couple of hours of entertainment which included hymns, spirituals and pop songs – ample demonstration of the breadth of our choir’s repertoire. The audience got a chance to join in as well, joining the choirs in singing two hymns.

During the interval both choirs and the audience were treated to some very tasty refreshments, and a raffle was held, to further boost church funds.

Our choir ended the evening with a rousing rendition of Da Doo Ron Ron, the 1960s song made famous by the Crystals, which was enthusiastically received. All in all, a most enjoyable evening.
