Singing Day is always an important date in the calendar of our choir. Not only do choir members get the chance to spend a longer time in one another’s company, enjoying an extended period singing together, but we also hope that we will be joined by some non-members, to sing with us and maybe decide to swell our numbers by joining the choir.

By any measure this year’s Singing Day was  a great success. We were joined by half a dozen guest singers, and spent the day learning three new songs that will be added to our repertoire. Not only that, the  sun shone all day, and the world always seems a better place when that happens!

Thanks are due to our wonderful musical team, Musical Director Viv Redfern, and accompanists Michael & Jo Ward. Thanks, also, to the ladies who served up the tea and coffee during our morning break.

If you are interested in singing why not come along to any of our Monday night practice sessions at Trinity Church in Wellington Road, Newport, TF10 7HD, between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm?

You can be assured of a warm welcome, and if you don’t want to join in the singing you can just sit and listen to us. Either way, there will be no pressure  put on you to join the choir.
