The membership of Newport (Salop) & District Male Voice Choir numbers approximately thirty five singers.
With a few exceptions we meet each Monday evening at 7.30 at Trinity Church, Wellington Road Newport TF10 7HD for a couple of hours’ practice. Our members come from a wide area surrounding Newport, including Market Drayton, Telford and Wolverhampton.
We are actively seeking new members, and are always delighted to welcome newcomers. Prospective members are very much encouraged to get in touch at the earliest opportunity, by contacting our secretary. Previous musical experience is not necessary, and neither is it necessary for members to be able to read music. All you need is an ability to sing and a willingness to commit to our very friendly and active choir.
Please feel free to join us at Trinity Church any Monday evening at your convenience. You will be very welcome to come and watch us practicing, and to join in with us.
Additionally, we hold Singing Days at Trinity Church from time to time, to offer the opportunity for anybody to come and sing with us for a day, or part of the day.
