We had a couple of visitors to our choir practice on 12 October, when we were joined for a while by Phil Arrowsmith and Eva Allan, Chairman and President respectively of the Newport Cottage Care Centre.

Our visitors had come to collect a donation to the Centre’s Arts and Craft Room Appeal, resulting from our joint concert with Wantage Male Voice Choir on 19th September and our Chairman, Richard Langley, handed over a cheque for £400.

The photograph above shows Phil and Eva receiving the cheque from Richard, watched by members of our choir and our Musical Director, Vivian Redfern. We are delighted to have been able to help this very worthwhile local charity, and thank our friends at Wantage Male Voice Choir, and all the people who came to the concert, for enabling us to do this.

Our next concert is at St John’s Methodist Church, Whitchurch, Shropshire on Saturday 21 November. Hopefully we may see you there!
